My husband and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and we will be staying in the Lake Louise area. Can any one suggest a nice restaurant for dinner on our 25th. We are leaving on the 19th of July

The Post Hotel is supposed to be excellent. Or the Chateau itself.

My husband and I had dinner about 3 years ago at the Chateau on Lake Louise in its fancy restaurant. (It is Edelwiess?? Can't remember but it is the expensive one.) We asked for table by one of the huge windows overlooking the lake and really enjoyed it. Someone played classical music on the piano the entire time. Very elegant. I think the men need jackets. (Not sure.)

You can check out this website for help in finding good places to eat. www.chowhound.com. You may have to do a search to find the areas you are interested in.

Just to add, we also thought dinner at the Post Hotel was very good but it doesn't have any views.

It has to be the Post Hotel!!
My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary there. It was one of our most memorable (and delicious) meals (not to mention the selection of wine!!!).

My husband and I were in the area earlier this month and the best meal we had was at the Emerald Lake Lodge--about 30 minutes west of Lake Louise on TransCanada 1, just past Field, B.C. The lodge is gorgeous, the food was striking--don't miss the appetizer of the variety of homemade smoked game meat-- and the view is of an isolated pristine emerald green lake. We ate at the Post Hotel and were disappointed. We didn't think the prices were justified.

For good casual food in Lake Louise, try the Station. We also enjoyed meals at the Cathedral Mountain Lodge (where we stayed) in Yoho National Park near Field, B.C. and the Baker Creek Lodge outside of Lake Louise.
