Dunedin's Cadbury World closing permanently

The chocolate factory has ceased operating, but Cadbury World has remained open until now. Last week it was announced the new Dunedin Hospital will be built on the current Cadbury site and today Cadbury World closed. This is one of the city's main attractions, so I'd wanted to let folks know. More info here:

Sounds as if the decision isn't yet made?

I have fond memories of our Cadbury tour in Dunedin years and years ago. Between the free samples and the smell, I almost...almost...overdosed. We also took the tour of the Cadbury factory in Tasmania years ago, but I can't remember that one very well. Perhaps I didn't eat enough chocolate.

It is sad they are closing down. The chocolate waterfall was very impressive.
