Mardi Gras World Studio Tour - Worth the time and money?

Unfortunately, our New Orlean's visit will not coincide with the REAL Mardi Gras. Is our limited time and money well spent taking the complimentary shuttle to Mardi Gras World Studio Tour? THANK YOU!

Honestly speaking, it's hard to say. I've been to Mardi Gras twice and returned last May for a quick visit and went to Mardi Gras World. It was very cool to see the floats up close to see how big they really are. You can't go on them but you can walk around as much as you like after the tour. I don't recall being there long but waiting for our bus felt longer. I don't need to go back again and I love tourist traps, etc. If you had nothing better to do, I'd say go but wouldn't say you should go unless you like floats.

I found it fascinating as one could also see folks working on the floats. They also store alot of floats, etc that have been used in previous years.

We enjoyed it--gave us a behind the scenes feel.
DH hates crowds, so we'd never go to NO at Mardi Gras.
