NBC Studio Tours...Worth It?

My husband and I are planning this tour and want to know if it's worth the time and money?

I went to the tour because others in my group wanted to go. It is not expensive and reservations can be made ahead of time. It is not something that I care to do again. It depends on how interested you are in Television. There are so many other things that I enjoy doing in New York. It would probably depend on how much time you have in the city. I certainly would not make it a top priority.

Hello, I took the tour an few years ago and enjoyed it. Kind of fun to see the set of SNL and the Today Show, and the "behind the scenes" stuff was interesting. I think it was worth it, it's fun to do something different.

Which NBC Studio Tour are you talking about? The one in Burbank, CA or the one in New York. There are two. I've done them both.

If New York, I'd go ahead and do it.
If LA, I would take a Warner Brothers Tour instead. The best studio tour ever and gives you an inside to both TV and movies.

NBC Burbank isn't that interesting. You see the Tonight Show set -- no big deal and sets for the local KTLA news. Even Paramount Studios gives a better tour.

Have fun.

I did the NBC Tour in NYC last month and it was better than I would have thought. I'm not a big TV buff, but enjoyed the behind the scenes info and found it to be interesting.

It's $17.95 for an hour or so. You can make a reservation at the NBC Experience Store and they will tell you what time to come back for your tour...usually about 1.5 hours if they're presently booked up. That allows you to go and see some more nearby sights while you wait.

I'd say go for it if you have any remote interest.
