Any factory outlet in Oz?

Would be travelling to Oz soon. Would like to know if there's any factory outlet (fashion brand: eg. burberry, prada, nike, adidas etc.) in South Australia, Victoria and around Sydney. Thanks.

Morgen,
there are a few around Melbourne but outlet malls are not as common here as in the US. There is the Brand Smart mall in Nunawading, also a larger mall in Cheltenham or Moorabbin. You might find the address by searching on www.google.com
I don't think much of the outlet malls, they seem to have only the items they can't sell in their retail shops, but some people like them. You probably won't find Burberry or Prada, they are not that common in Australia.
A better option would be Bridge Rd or Swan St in Richmond, a 10 min tram ride from Melbourne. Both have lots of seconds and samples shops and have some good bargains.
Kay

A wonderful outlet centre in Sydney is not far from the city ( Alan please help me here with the suburb address please) and you can get to it by ferry or by bus. There are many brand name items for sale including many Australian brand names as well. In particular there is a Royal Doulton shop there. Also our leading department store has its own outlet at this place too so you get a real mixed bag of things.

PS - not an outlet shopping area but don't forget the Victoria Markets on the weekend in Melbourne where you will get a wonderful variety of goods - including our very own Googie knitwear

The one in Sydney should be Birkenhead point. Faster by bus from city, but don't forget to ask the bus driver to indicate as it is in a side road. The main complex is quite big though. Tried to get there by ferry on a thursday (shopping open till 9pm) but the only ferry getting there was at 3pm.

The bit upstairs from Paddy's Market in Sydney (near Chinatown), called Market City, is supposedly outlet stores, but it looked like regular mall shops to me??? Not sure about that, but the signs did say "factory outlet." I only stayed long enough to buy some underwear and eat a kebab, though.

A few of them are. Like Table Eight, Nine West and Oxford... the rest are just normal retail shops. Paddy's Market below is almost exactly like Queen Vic Market over in Melbourne, just less stalls. Wish they had a dairy market like Queen Vic.

Hi,
In Sydney there is a newish outlet mall out by the Homebush Olympic stadium which is worth a look - particularly if you plan to check out the stadium area.
Enjoy
Graham
