Any discounts for local attractions in Sydney, Melbourne & Adelaide

We will there for 3 weeks in November. Do they sell discount cards for us to visit the local attractions. Back home, we have an explore card, where the owner can visit all the attractions within a certain days.

Hi, Samy!
I don't think we have the equivalent of your "Explore Card" (though I could be wrong there). There are, however, various free publications which you will pick up as you walk around Sydney which will offer "buy one, get one free" to whatever attraction is slow at the moment (I know the Aquarium often has these deals going). The most important discount you need to know about is public transport. For around $13 a day you can buy a DayRover pass which takes you on all trains, ferries, and government buses, unlimited rides until midnight. This is available at any railway station.

There are also discount coupons you can print out and take with you on:
www.travelmate.com.au

Also, depending on where you are visiting, it's worth asking if there are any special deals, e.g.like a cheaper ticket to visit 3 museums instead of one.

I ran across a sydney card while I was visiting the Sydney Opera House site.

I am not sure if the rates are good or not. I don't know what it would cost to do the attractions/transportation separately for comparison.

someone posted the link before

but i think you can just go to www.sydneyoperahouse.com

When you arrive in Sydney, go to the information booth at the Sydney Airport, or the one in the Rocks. They have all the info on the local attraction discounts. You can also do a Google search before you go for discounts in those particular cities.
