Courtesy Room Quay West Suites at 6am?? Leaving Soon!
Last trip the Park Hyatt gave us a comfy room to shower and get organized in when we showed at their doorstep hours before check-in. Will the Quay West do the same? Is this standard practice in Sydney- it made all the difference! Thanks we have to leave soon and want to pick the right place for our first night/day.

Most hotels do their upmost to help people who have arrived from overseas earlier than the check-in time. If they have a room ready they will let you in OR if they have a courtesy room they will allow you to use it. If not then the only option is to do what I do and spred out on the couch in the foyer, go to sleep and snore and strangely enough a room becomes available quite soon

I arrived at the Quay West only a few hours before check-in and was not offered the use of any hospitality room or anything. A friend of mine who checked in a few days later was not either. Maybe they have one and we just weren't told about it. If it is a big issue for you, you might want to call or email the hotel to find out. I emailed a question to them before my trip and it was answered quickly. Btw, I stayed at both the Park Hyatt and Quay West on that trip and much preferred the Park Hyatt. Better service and better ambience. However, I know I am in the minority around here when it comes to Quay West, so I am sure your stay there will be just fine. Have a great trip!

Hi<BR>We arrived in Sydney from LA in the early morning and went directly to Quay West. A rooom was not immediately ready so they asked us to enjoy breakfast and when we were finished our apartment was ready! I found that I could not say enough nice things about Quay West and the manager John and actually Mirvac hotels whose website I used to make my reservations at a special rate.

We recently returned from Aus. and stayed at Quay West. We were very pleased with the accomm. and the service. We arrived early and neither of our rooms was ready. We were offered breakfast, and also told we could freshen up in the spa area if we wanted. We were too excited about finally arriving (even though we were tired) and preferred to just drop our bags and head out to the Rocks for food and a walk around. I would second the suggestion that you email QW and ask them your inquiry directly. They were very service oriented when we were there.
