Transportation from Narita airport to the Marriott

Planning a trip to Tokyo what is the best way for us to get to the Marriott from the airport ? How much in US dollars would it cost?

I agree the limobus is inexpensive and the most convenient way to get to your hotel.

I second the motion for the limousine bus. We flew into Narita, and stayed at the Marriott also. We took the limousine bus, which dropped us off right in front of the hotel.

One main advantage is that your luggage is stored under the bus, so you don't have to lug it onto the bus. They tag your luggage according to your stop, so if you should fall asleep, or not recognize your stop, they'll see the luggage at the Marriott stop, and alert you that you are at your stop.

The drive through the Narita area is rural and beautiful. So if you can stay awake, try to sit by the window and enjoy the view.

The limousine bus is fine if you don't have to wait a long time for it. And for the Marriott, the bus runs only about once/hour, and has one two-hour gap (5.30pm-7.30pm). I don't enjoy hanging around an airport -- and on the land side, so no lounges -- for a long time, so I try to leave myself options, depending on when I clear immigration and customs. If it's only a 10- or 15-minute wait for the bus, fine. But if I had to wait 50 minutes for a bus when the train leaves in 10, then it's a no-brainer for me. The train travels faster than the bus and is (slightly) more comfortable, but then you do have to get from the train station to your hotel.

For the Marriott, that's especially easy, because it's near Shinagawa station, which is the 2nd stop on the Narita Express train - http://www.eki-net.com/pc/jreast-shi..._nex_u/05.html . From Shinagawa station, the Marriott is a very short cab ride or doable walk (depending on luggage).

So, for example, suppose you happen to clear customs right at 5:30 and just miss the limobus. You can either wait for the next limobus and get to the hotel at 8.55pm, or take the Narita Express (at 5:44pm) and get to the hotel at about 7:10pm.

Key point is, have the information for both options with you, then choose the one that makes sense for you.

The Narita Express train would be about 30 bucks. There are other train options that cost a bit less but would require a transfer.

Here is a timetable for the N'Ex to Shinagawa:
