Tour Companies in India

Can you recommend a good tour company for India? I want to create a self directed tour (as opposed to a package tour). I'm going in November from Mumbai and north for 9 days.

There are numerous posts on this website about tour agencies to use in India. Search using India guide or something similar.
I used Castle and King in Delhi for our entire trip. They'll arrange everything for you from hotel to transport to guides and you can use as much or as little as you want of their services. I usually arrange almost all of my trips completely on my own but in India it does make a big difference in ease and comfort. Arvind completely personalized the trip for us. Check out Yatrik
http://www.yatrik.com/home.asp

we are heading to India in December and I have been working with Ajay who has been very good.

I do know that others on this board have used him and we 110% pleased Yatrik.

There are few good travel agencies like culture holidays, Rajasthan tours, tajmahal tours on which you may rely upon for your trip in India. Just explore them for more clarification.

For Rajasthan based tour operators, look at the Rajasthan Association of Tour Operarotrs website - www.ratorajasthan.org

Has anyone had any experience with an Indian tour company called "Indian Moments"? And/Or can anyone recommend any tour company that is good and reliable that I can use for an upcoming India trip in November? Thanks

Which part of India are you planning on going to?

There are many companies in all over India and they all are specialized to organise tours in some perticular parts of India.
So tell me for which part of India you are looking to make travel so that I can suggest accordingly.
Thanks.
Raju India.

Two things: Research. Reply.

Well spotted .
For what it is worth for anyone else with a genuine inquiry we used Cox and Kings who have been rated highly in the latest Conde Nast Traveller .
