If you book your hotel through AsiaRooms.com the printable confirmation contains the name & address of your hotel written in Thai... with a line to use scissors to cut this off the rest of the page to show to the driver... and to keep for future taxi rides.

How far in advance can one reserve AAC?

Are they reliable for return transfers from the hotel to BKK?

For an international flight from BKK to LAX, how many hours in advance should we check in 2 or 3?

On a Thursday afternoon what time should we leave the Peninsula Hotel if we have a 7:30 PM departure from BKK to LAX?

I always go to the departures level and grab a cab that is dropping somebody off. I get a cab as soon as I walk out the door, and no 50 Baht surcharge.

I'd suggest reserving AAC a week in advance. If you reserve round trip, you get 10% off. You can request a Mercedes or a van. We used them for two roundtrips this trip. They were early each time.

By the way, I've not been able to get their reservation form on their website to work. I emailed tham at the address listed on their website and received a reply within a half an hour.

Ken,
I made it home for Thanksgiving. Try my taxi suggestion next time. Works everywhere in the world.

I've been recovering myself. You were a bad influence.

I'm sure you can buy a glass at V-9, but the selection wouldn't be as good. I wouldn't know, I drink by the bottle.
