spas in Phuket

Hi,

We'll be staying at Mom Tri's at Kata beach in Phuket. I would like to try some nice spas while there. I am not sure how good the one at the hotel is.

I would like to try a spa or two with facilities and services especially for couples. What are the good ones that are not too far a ride from Kata area and also not outrageously expensive? Other than spa's, are there decent places to get good massages?

The Hideaway has been around 15 years plus, the original many would say, in the Patong Hills, excellent very experienced and expert staff, I haven't got the website handy but you'd find it easy on Yahoo, just try
Hideaway Spa Phuket or something like that.

Found the website:

They are opening at Chaong and laguna but the Patong one is the original and closest to you, I remember it a decade and more back when it was about the only place around, very good value. I think if you call them they can arrange pick-up and return.

It's expensive, but a visit to the Amanpuri spa would never be forgotten. The grounds alone are worth a look.

Here's my review of Amanpuri resort which was incredible! the spa is a wonderful facility. They give you green tea on arrival or elderflower water. The clothed Thai massage is superb and they do have couples sessions.

Yup..it's dead expensive but I felt it was worth it.
