Some questions re: Face Spa

We decided to book massages at Face Spa for our first day in BKK. I orginally made the reservation for 1pm but since we want to have lunch there as well, they suggested we make our massage res. at 11am and lunch at 12:30pm. Sounds perfect but our flight doesn't arrive into BKK until 8am. Do you think 3hrs. is enough time to get through immigration, get to Pen and then get to Face? They stop serving lunch at 2:30pm so the 1pm time won't work with lunch. How about massages at noon. That would give us 4 hrs. from airport to spa - I just don't want to be rushed and worried we will miss our appt.

Also, can someone give explicit directions from the Peninsula to Face via skytrain? Keep in mind this is our first trip there so all details appreciated - and how long should this take? We may end up just taking a taxi but want to have the option.

BTW this will be about all we will be attempting that day.

Thanks!!

Agree completely w/Guenmai. Not enough time, and a perfect recipe for being rushed. Besides, what will you do if you can't get into your room when you arrive -- show up for a massage still with the grime and wardrobe of an overnight flight?

While it's true that you want to do spa first, eat later, I agree with others that it's too tight to try for 11:00 for spa appointments.

Do you think we could make it there by noon or should we just stick with the 1pm and eat someplace else afterwards?

I'm not too concerned about whether or not we can get into our room; since if we can't get into our room no matter what we do we will still have to deal with that, and I'm sure there will be some place at the Pen to atleast change our clothes and wash our faces, etc.

I'd stick with the 1PM spa appointment and eat elsewhere. There are lots of food choices in Bangkok. Try asiachic.com for a few listed places. Also do a search on this forum as there has been a lot of talk about food. I've eaten at Face and I know that there are those who really like it, but I wasn't that impressed. Happy Travels!

why not grab some lunch at the penn, have a swim, then have a late afternoon massage and dinner at face...problem solved...

i would not do it either of the other ways....way to stressful...

also take a taxi there and skytrain back...easiest
