Some ideas:

Go into town to one of the day spas, there is one next to Tanawit Hotel opposite main HH temple ( I think 'Avana or something like that ), have some good spa and massage, then walk down to the Sofitel and have a great lunch ( he has golf, you have the haute cuisine ).
Then take a tuk tuk down to Hua hin Market Village shopping mall, take taxi back to Holiday Inn.

You can also wander the small shops in the Hilton / Fishing Per areas early evening and then eat.
There are a few shows, Sasi Thai classic show, Hua hin show in the night market area and cabaret near the Hilton.

There are the day spas plus the top class spas at the resorts.

For some half day trips that are easy, about 40 mins north of Cha Am the Temples and Old Palace at Phetchaburi, half day tour, quite interesting.

There is the Pala U Waterfall trip, not such a great waterfall but kike into jungly area, butterflies etc.

You can do the 'town tour' taking in the Old Palace etc.

A tip when you arrive if you need any clothing for your vacation/holiday is to go to louts-tesco at the HH Market Village shopping mall, cheap for t-shirts, shorts etc, often cheaper than market.

Springfield Course has a classy spa and a good resort hotel so you could go up there for the afternoon and head back together.

Sarvowinner,

Tell your husband to try the newest golf course in Hua Hin - "Black Mountain". Quite nice!

Hi

just stayed at the new Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa last weekend and it was beutiful. Huge pool, very clean and private beach, very large rooms enormous bathhtub and seperate showers. we stayed in a poolside Lagoon Access Room, so just jumped off the balcony into the pool. well worth the extra money.

The Apadeva Day spa was also excellent and I think they have 12 treatment rooms and suites, very new equipment in the gym and we also played some tennis.

The hotel also has a daily shuttle which ran 8 times a day into Hua hin. took 10 mins one way and cost us 50 baht...so no worries there

If your looking for somewhere that you don't get Hassled by Hawkers and has a private beach then stay at this Resort.
