Return of Mango7
I'd like to welcome back a regular poster, Mango7, to this forum. We've missed your insight and hope you will grace us with many posts in the future.
BTW, Bob, Karen, Beth and I will be in BKK in November. There's a mini-GTG on November 25. Any chance you'll be there?

Yes, welcome back Mango. You've been missed. Hey, I'll go to the mini GTG if YOU will!!!! lol
Actually, I've been considering it. IF I would attend, and then go home after about 10 days on the ground, and then turn around and fly back to BKK for the holidays in mid-Dec, I could make 1K this year on UA.
Any 1-K'ers out there? Is it WORTH IT to do this crazy amount of flying??
Carol

I've been worried.
Ever since Mango7 got confused and couldn't find the bathroom at The Banyan Tree [not exactly rocket science] I've been worrying.
Maybe he was still trying to find the bathroom, wandering darkened corridors somewhere in Bangkok, little Mang grasped firmly in hand? It was a disturbing image. He is my cyber-buddy and I missed him.
So welcome back, Mang.

I agree Bob, embarrassing. Are YOU a 1K as well? You should be this year, with all your galavanting to different continents on the planet... course, if you'd stick with ONE airline rather than looking for bargains, you might gain status... (smiling in jest)
Thinking seriously about this trip though... looks like our annual trip to Europe in Nov/Dec is not going to happen this time around. That means I'm "available"... lol

"Bob gaining status?". Given from where he starts, gaining status is almost inevitable. I note that he istrying his luck on the Europe forum. Exactly how long will it take them to discover his Neeham-like tendencies?

Hi everyone! I missed you all very much as well. I'm beyond the hangover from the last trip, finally, and ready to return. Sorry to disappear, but I needed a break from traveling after the last trip (but not from all of you, of course!).
Last night I checked airfares IAD-LAX-BKK, and found some OK ones, but today it seems its getting pretty hard to find a good flight without paying a small fortune. We're a bit bored of the typical ANA flight, thus is the reason I'm changing things up a bit. Worst case scenario, we take ANA
Gpanda- You made me turn red in front of my monitor. Thank you much for your welcome-back post. Very kind of you!!
Carol- Thank you! It was your recent TR that sparked my interest in going again. I will certainly meet up with all of u (if you'd have me), if we end-up going (Wife is against the idea, in contrast to last night
).
Dogster- lol, that really was a hairy experience(no ladyboy involved, FTR). I was recently told by an MD friend that it is very possible I had contracted the swine flu, back then. Wouldn't surprise me since I have never experienced a virus kicking me like that. Thanks for the welcome back & hope you're healing up nicely and back on all fours.

carol, you are so close, so it might be worth it.
top 5 reasons for going for it!
5. because you like bangkok, anyway.
4. you have a chance to earn regional upgrades.
3. 3 swu for your next 3 trips to bankgkok or whereever.
2. opp to give premier status to a friend.
1. because your friends would love to see you at kinaree.
