Reservation confirmations (Baan Orapin and Discover pass)

How long does it normally take places to respond back to requests for reservations? Should I expect a one-day turnaround if I've emailed them? Or is that unreasonable? Also, I booked flights using the Discover Pass and Bangkok air said I'd receive an email confirmation with instructions on how to pay them. It's been almost 24 hours and no email. Is that unusual or typical? I'll try calling them shortly if I haven't heard, but was wondering about others' experiences.
Thanks,
Karen

weekends come into play as kathie suggests....also many are not as intuned as we are into quick answers...for instance i have waited a week for eddie to reply sometimes and other times he replies in one hour...small hotels and shops are slow to reply sometimes...they do not realize the importance that westerners place on a quick reply....it is a wrong assumption on our part that if refliects their overall quality of service...

I heard! Baan Orapin has a room for us. Still nothing from Bangkok Air, though. Tried calling last night and no answer - will try again today.
