Phuket Restaurant for Anniversary

My husband I will be travelling to Phuket/Phi Phi during the first 2 weeks of December. We will be celebrating our anniversary there and I was wondering if anyone has any special restaurant recommendations. In Phuket we are staying at the Kata Beach Resort, so the restaurant needs to be accessible from our hotel.

I believe Mom Tri's Boathouse is nearby. Supposed to be one of the best on the island

I did read about that restaurant. Has anyone eaten there?

I haven't personally - but it (and it's sister rstaurants) have received rave reviews on this forum and in many a guide for years - I would think it was as safe a bet as you could get in the area.

Hopefully others will chip in with support or alternatives

We've eaten at Mon Tri's Boathouse and the food is superb. Definitely go there. We had our hotel make our reservation and we got the prime table right at the open air floor to ceiling Window overlooking the beach. We're going back in several weeks. Have fun.

I've also eaten at Mom Tri's Boathouse and would recommend it without hesitation!! It's a wonderful place!! But, so it Mom Tri's Kitchen!! The "kitchen" is closer and you do not have to take a taxi. If you walk down to the right end of the beach at Kata Thani (I've stayed here and it is wonderful), you will see a stairway. The stairway goes up to Mom Tri's Villa Royale property (a fabulous place, by the way, where I've stayed a couple of times in their villas). Walk through the Villa Royale property and you will find Mom Tri's Kitchen. It's smaller than the Boathouse Grill, but the same quality of food and service, and maybe a little bit more romantic for a special occasion.

In any case, do enjoy yourselves. You have chosen a great location on Phuket, in my opinion.

Try this list of "Favorite Restaurants" on Phuket:

I am going to the WaterMark for my birthday - I think it is one of the best at the moment.

We are also celebrating our anniversary (#30!) with a stay at Kata Beach Resort in January. I would love to hear how you enjoyed the trip ZoeB. Let us know if you found any other great places to eat during your stay. I already have Mom Tri's Boathouse on my list. Hope you have a great time.

But don't forget about Mom Tri's Kitchen! It's just up the beach stairway from Kata Thani resort!!! James, have you ever dined at the Kitchen? I'm sure you would agree with my recommendation if you have been there. It's every bit as good as the Boathouse Grill, but a more romantic location, in my opinion.
