Hotel recommendation for BKK
We are planning to spend two nights at BKK after 4 days at Phuket. I realized there are TONS of hotels in different areas of BKK.
Have anyone stayed at Pullman King Power Bangkok? Wondering if that's a convenient location... a couple of my friends recommended it, but when I did research online, it seems that this hotel is not on the BTS or MTR route.
Other hotels we are considering is S15 (boutique hotel at Sukhumvit or Grand Sukhumvit by Sofitel.
S15 is the cheapest ($85 USD). Pullman is $96 USD and Sofitel is $106.

I just stayed at Sofitel this past May. It's a really nice hotel, for sure. The walk to the BTS is about 7-8 minutes.
You are right about being close to the BTS in BKK. For me, it's very important! I don't take taxis very often, just because traffic can be such a headache.
My current favorite place is a serviced apartment building (the Adelphi Suites) which is just a short walk from the Sofitel. I actually prefer Adelphi over Sofitel, as I like the convenience of having an "apartment" over a hotel room. Adelphi is probably a one minute walk to the escalator UP to the BTS at Nana (by soi 8).
