Singapore and pres. drugs

Any problems traveling with pres. drugs in their original bottles for a Singapore visit? Do I need any Dr's letters? TIA

I have been all over the world, and not one place has ever looked twice at my Rx`s. And I never carry the original bottles either. What is to prevent you from putting other drugs in the bottles? How would they even know? Be more careful of liquids, otherwise no problem.

Given Singapore's clear and firm drug policies, I'd definitely carry my prescription meds in their original containers. No need for a doctor's letter unless you are carrying prescription narcotics. If you do have prescription narcotics, I'd carry a doctor's letter just in case. I've never has customs look at my prescription bottles - except for one time when re-entering the US. Still, better safe than very, very sorry.

Yes, there are certain destinations I am extra cautious with pres. drugs and I thought maybe Singapore should be on that list. Thanks for your responses.

Many medications require that you obtain permission beforehand. http://www.hsa.gov.sg/publish/hsapor....html?Status=1

I experienced difficulties at Hong Kong Airport once, I didn't have my doctors letter with me (this was when we trying to exit) I carry an epipen (injection) and they were extremely concerned about it, I had to wait in a secure area for about 10 minutes! It was obviously in its original packaging with prescription label. I always carry my doctors letter with me listing all my meds, but on this occasion I'd forgotten it! On our next and subsequent visit never been troubled and had the letter with me . I would take the letter.

Somebody do me a favor please? Start to post to this thread and then look to the left of the "Post a Reply" box.

See all the posts displayed? moremiles original post, then Kathie, then moremiles, then KimJapan, then who?

I started a post to this thread last night, previewed it and then didn't pull the trigger. But I see it now between KimJapan's post and moremiles' post that came before twotravel.

Does anyone else see my post?

ok, thanks for checking. it is a bit odd and must be a bug.

It it pretty easy to identify pills, or given a drug name find out what the pill looks like:
http://www.drugs.com/pill_identification.html

You know, if you are carrying 10 pills on a 7-day trip (or 20 pills on a 14-day trip) then the customs officials pretty much know that you aren't a smuggler.
