Business Hotels in HCM + Phnom Phen
I just learned that I have to lead a group visiting Ho Chi Minh City and Phnom Phen. The problem is that I've NEVER been to Cambodia and haven't been to Viet Nam since 1994!
In order not to look completely idiotic I need a fast business primer. What are the best business hotels? (These are sophisticated Americans who are used to staying at the Pen in Hong Kong etc.)
I'll start with accommodations and come back for more suggestions later.

Phnom Phen is not Hong Kong so you will not find anything like the Pen. However there are some good hotels.
The Raffles and Intercontinental are probably the two best and of 4 star quality. See their web sites below

In the 3+ star category the Sunway (http://phnompenh.sunwayhotels.com/)and the Phnom Penh (http://www.phnompenhhotel.com/) are good
If your group would rather stay in an apartment type hotel then the Himawari Hotel Apartments (http://www.himawarihotel.com/) are quite lux.
Can't help with Vietnam as I have not been there.

In Phnom Penh, there's also the Amanjaya, which has the best location for dining and scenery. But it doesn't have much for business facilities, if they're going to expect that (also doesn't have a pool or gym).
In HCMC, the Park Hyatt or the Sheraton are the best locations. The Sofitel also gets a lot of business travelers. The local AmCham office is in the New World hotel, which is also good.

The Renaissance (Marriott) is also in a good location in D1 and will be slightly less expensive than the Sheraton or Park Hyatt (You'll be paying like you're in HK when you stay in the 5* hotels in HCMC). Of all the hotels mentioned, I like the Sheraton the best.
