I pay B 50 ( $1.25 ) and it's great, I usuallu add another B 20 tip, if you are looking for a good haircut Thailand is the place, they are excellent, any local barber just B 50 for a straight no messing haircut, if you want wash and style maybe up to B 200 ( $5 )

Thanks Bob and James. The local cut is what I usually go for when I'm on holiday. Can be a bit of a challenge getting the message across but that's just part of the fun. Up until now Turkish haircuts are the best I've had but we'll see what Bangkok comes up with.

sid---i can't seem to choose the correct words for you: "market or mall"; "clean or dirty", i.e. like diseased...aids, vd, you name it...why do you think that barbers, hairdressers and manicurists are regulated in many countries???
all smalley wants to do is have his/her hair cut...just an advisory and common sense...
yes sid you have managed to make me mad...
