Gaddi 's in Hong Kong

We just returned from SEA with a stopover in Hong Kong. We were there a year ago and this trip reinforced my opinion that it is one of the world's most interesting and exciting cities. We again visited Gaddi

Ahhh - so it's not a reference to the Gaddi People of Dharamsala : The nomadic Hindu tribe that has dwelled in the shadows of the Himalayas in Northern India for countless generations.

Nor to Taddeo Gaddi, the Italian Early Renaissance Painter, ca.1300-1366.

Nor Ambassador Gaddi H. Vasquez, the 8th United States Representative to the United Nations Organizations in Rome..

Gaddo Gaddi perhaps? [as we all know, an intimate friend of Cimabue, and afterwards of Giotto]

it is what many consider to be the "main dining room" of the peninsula hotel in HK....very old fashioned but an icon....hope they keep it for ever...these places have fast disappeared...

i had my 50th birthday party there in fact

we passed on the way out of the harbor....good thing i had my cell phone to warn me of their advances...
