Everest Base Camp trekking company recommendation

Hi. I'm a solo female traveller to Nepal in December of 2007. I am doing the Everest Base Camp trek and want to trek with an established company. Any recommendations? I am seriously considering either 1)Getaway! Himalayan Eco-Trekking 2) GAP adventures 3) Geckos Adventures

If there any other suggestions, please post. Thanks so much.

I used GAP in Peru (Machu Picchu) and they were very good.

I am considering Getaway! for Nepal. If you have any info, it would be appreciated. Alice

Hi. I did a lot of reseach comparing the three. I liked the fact that GetAway! includes meals. I don't think GAP or Gecko do. I was a little concerned because I have no idea what kind of food will be available on the trek. Unless I hear anything negative I will probably book with GetAway.

There's a great small company called Scape that runs treks. They don't go to Everest but have two treks in the Annapurna region. I like them because they consistently draw fun and friendly people.

Let the pro's do the rating! Here's the link to National Geographic's "Best Adventure Travel Companies" article: http://adventure.nationalgeographic..../outfitterhome

Looks like "GAP" is their favorite for Nepal.

Have fun!!
