And on that note (Bob's) please let me know if I have titled anyone's name incorrectly! I'd also like to add their fodors "handles" to their real names, if possible.
Thanks!
Carol

Bob, you're so right, usually because I can't remember what the picture is of!

re the GTG in LA at end of March- you should start a new post as mrwunrfl now lives on the other side of LA from Pasadena.

I go to Pasadena for work a few times a year. Could try to swing a trip at end of March, it's my birthday then and I usually try to swing a work trip out there then to see a close friend who lives in Santa Monica. I usually get lucky and get put up at the Huntington hotel in Pasadena. Love that place. Pasadena also has Huntington Gardens, which has the most lovely Japanese Garden, and also a very good museum. "Blue Boy" is there. That place is a real gem, not to be missed.

I am trying to think of the great restaurant just outside Old Town, something Grill. I'm pretty sure it is Parkside Grill. Yum. I wonder if that would be good for a GTG.

Oh I just thought of a GREAT place to look into for a GTG in Pasadena! Check out "Nonya"...it is Malaysian, Indonesian, Singapore all together. Very good for this crowd. Link below.

THere is also Saladang for good Thai and they accomodate groups. I forgot about that one til I just googled for info on Nanya and saw this post below on eG - it has pictures of Saladang. Saladang is very good Thai, nice atmosphere. You definitely want to cut and paste the address below, it is freaking l-o-n-g.

The link didn't go to the restaurant site, just a forum where there was a discussion of the place.
