hotelthailand
I know there are a ton of recommendations on this board for the huahin, sawadee, and asiarooms sites for booking hotels, but I did a search and did not get much regarding hotelthailand.
For one of the hotels we want to book, they are MUCH cheaper than the other sites. It is a "prepaid" site, but they don't charge you the full amount until 7 days before your arrival, and they have a really good refund policy.
Does anyone have experience with them? Is there anything to worry about?

huahin site charges you about two weeks before your stay except for the one day deposit up front...
never heard of that site by that name, but many of the thai sites are multiples run by one company with many different names...

Yeah, Bob. I know what you are talking about with the multiple sites run by one company. They all tend to link back to r24/sawadee. This is not one of them. They seem really legitimate and I cannot beat the price they quoted, so I am inclined to use them. I just don't want anything to get messed up b/c it is my honeymoon. For the 8 nights, it comes out about $700 cheaper. I would not bother with it if it was only $100 or so, but this is a significant discount.
The other hotels we are staying at are actually more expensive on this site than I have found elsewhere, but it is hard to pass up such a savings for the one hotel.

Sala Samui. They are offering a buy 5 nights, get 2 free thing.
We are also going to stay at the Pen in BKK and either the Four Seasons or Mandarain Oriental in Chiang Mai, but I get better rates for these hotels elsewhere.
