7 Hour Layover HKG
We have a 7 hour layover in HKG after flying 13 hours from Vancouver, and I am sure all we will want to do is sleep as we still have 8 more to go to Mumbai..Is there somewhere in the HKG aiport to sleep or a hotel nearby??
We were just in HKG a year ago so it is not essential that we go right into the city..

Unfortunately, HKG is not built for budget-minded travelers who transit the city. [In the planners' mind back in the go-go 90's, everybody should stay at a big nice hotel for several days. But I digress....]
Anyways, are you arriving at 8am on CX889? Or the other CX and AC flights that arrive late?
As for accomodations, there is the Regal Airport hotel, but it's always very expensive. There are lounges inside the airport, but no real rooms to sleep in. One club has some sleeping areas with little privacy.
Or try the hotels at the Hong Kong Disneyland. The Hollywood is around US$120. Otherwise, you need to go get out to the city.

Yes we are arriving on that CX889..There must be somewhere to stay, cause there's no way i can wonder around an airport that long!!!!!!!! So what would be a good hotel in Kowloon to go sleep for 4 or 5 hours that isn't so expensive??

There are lots of hotels in Hong Kong, and prices are all over the place, and are highly dependent on travel dates. I also don't know any that specifically states day-room rate, so you have to inquire each individually.
Actually, you may want to ask the Regal if they have a day rate and see what it is. Hopefully, it'll be less than the regular rates of ~US$300 for a room.

Ya, that's what i am thinking about doing, right away..Last year we stayed at Salisbury YMCA and i loved it but i don't see any point in paying all that money for just a few hours..If you think of anything else, then let me know.
