congratulations! I would recommend to add Face Spa in BKK, then trying to lunch or dinner at their Thai restaurant (Face is near the Majestic near Sukhumvit). Great that you will the attend to the Royal barge procession!!!

Thank you,

That's funny...I read the post about face spa this morning and added it in !

We plan on at least one massage/spa each day anyway...maybe we'll treat Tong too !!!

One more thing,

I owe all of you a great big thank you. This is my first planned trip overseas ( going to Brasil to visit my fiancee's family doesn't count...no planning necessary ! ). Instead of wondering about the unknown my Virgo self is very comfortable with what lies ahead...all thanks to everyone on this board.

i would make sure i have a confirmed res at cotton house for that nite bec. of the procession...it may be very busy...in fact i would consider doing it another nite....make sure you eat at tongue thai one nite...it is directly behind oriental place which is right in back of the oriental hotel...

have fun and let us know how it all works out...

and congrats...

lots of good gifts for brides in bkk: sparkling stones like sapphires??? cheap and nice...!!!

Actually we were leaning towards Lord Jim's that night...should we go with China House instead?

my comment is based on the activity around the river and maybe you should eat away from the river that nite, like at face or biscotti at the four seasons...avoid the crowds...

maybe even something simple if the parade does not start until 1800??

Thanks everyone.

Tong says that they have re-scheduled the procession for 3 PM...but that they have jockeyed it around so much that no one really knows...
