Will we have enough time to make our connecting flight?

We are flying Lufthansa on FF miles. Travelling into Frankfurt and then on to Paris. We have 1 hour 5 minutes to make the connecting flight to Paris. Does anyone foresee any problems? If the originating flight is delayed will the airline find us another flight to Paris? My main concern is that we are using FF miles and I know generally if you miss your flight you are out of luck.

You won't have any problem getting rebooked to Paris if the whole trip is on the same LH itinerary. LH has an obligation to get you to Paris, whether you pay by cash or miles.

If you're flying FRA-Paris on a different ticket, then that could be a problem.

Are you flying LH for both flights? If you are, you should not have to worry.
If you are flying LH for both, make sure when you are at the airport in the US, they print you the boarding pass for BOTH flights. Otherwise, when you get into FRA, you have to stand in a *very* long LH customer service line for your next boarding pass and you may not make it.

We are flying Lufthansa from Canada to Frankfurt. I'll make sure we get our boarding passes to Paris here. Thanks for the info.

Hi travelling teacher-

I traveled from PHL-FRA-Berlin last September. In PHL when checking in, the counter agent told me that it was too "early" to check in the FRA-Berlin flight, and could not give me a boarding pass. She told me to get the boarding pass once I got to FRA. I didn't argue cuz I didn't know better.

When I got to FRA, there was a long long line and moved very slowly. I had an E-ticket and the LH agents were not familiar with E-tickets yet at that time, which caused more delay. I barely made my connection (which was 2hrs after my 1st flight landed).

The bottom line - be insistent about your boarding pass for the 2nd flight when you check in in Canada.

Good luck!
