URGENT question! Will Continental issue EVA boarding passes

I am flying IAH-BKK all one one ticket issued by EVA Airways, but the first leg (IAH-LAX) is on Continental and EVA has no ticket desk at IAH. When I check in at IAH with Continental, will they be able to give me boarding passes for the entire trip through to BKK? Persons who have had this same situation on EVA Airways, I need your anecdotes!

Thanks,

Continental and EVA are partners and they have a codeshare between Continental and EVA, so dont worry, just go to Continental desk and Continental will take care of ur confirmation #

I had kinda similar situation but with a different alliance. Mexicana with United long time ago, and i had to use Mexicana cuz of their codeshare

No, I don't think CO can give you the EVA boarding pass if you're ticketed on BR for the LAX onward segments. You will need to get out of the secured area of LAX anyways, so you just go to the Tom Bradley International Terminal and check with EVA again.

However, your bags can be checked through the whole way.

rkkwan, it's all one ticket bought on EVA's website, one confirmation number...does that change your answer?

secondly, you say I have to leave the secured area in LAX - are you serious? noooooo!

No change with answer.

CO most likely (95%) cannot provide you with a EVA boarding pass.

And 100% serious about LAX. You will arrive at Terminal 6, go outside security and to get to TBIT (walk or shuttle).

Come to think of it, while CO cannot give you your BR boarding pass, you can do online check-in at evaair.com before departing and print your own BR boarding passes for LAX-TPE-BKK.

just to follow up - you were right, they couldn't get me the EVA boarding passes, and I had to exit Terminal 6 anyway. but they were able to check my bags all the way to my final destination which was a huge help.
