Rome

Which airport in Rome is more convenient for picking up a rental car and heading to Tuscany -- FCO or CIA? Thank You.

Personally I would think that you would have more options and better prices at FCO. You can hop on the expressway right outside of the airport and head up to Tuscany.

It depends on where you are coming from. If you're already in the city of Rome you have the option of renting at a city location or taking a train to someplace like Orvieto to pick up a rental car.

Those 2 options are probably more convenient then treking to one of the airports.

Thank you for the advice. I've got a rental award that I want to use, and the agency is only located at both airports. I will already have been in Rome for a few days.

FCO for me from $200/wk all in

that is RT one way drop off lots more...

2 weeks or more reanult eurodrive leases can save

train cheapest by far 5 euro regional Rome Frienze in May

Train like a local best seat61.com/italy cheapest best

Beware Florence with car it is one giant parking/speed trap

If they ding you it will be hundreds of euros if you do

not pay it will follow you on your passport forever sadly

from negative personal past experience when clueless.

Good luck!
