Meet Me in Frankfurt...
We're landing in Frankfurt early morning, and our daughter is arriving from Venice couple hours later.
From what I see both flights land at terminal 1.
Question is, where do we meet each other there at FRA? Is there an easy -to-find spot like a famous store or say a Starbucks, or any well-known spot ---- THAT'S BEYOND THE BAGAGE PICK UP?
Thanks.....

wally - In most Europea airports you cannot go back to the baggage claim area after you exit customs. And there is no coffee shop or place to eat before you exit customs.
Sorry, I can't answer the OP's question since I've never been to FRA, but baggage claim won't work.

The arrivals area is enormous -- Terminal 1 alone has 3 different halls.
I don't know of a convenient place to meet at the arrivals level. You could meet on the sidewalk outside Hall A, for example at the waiting area for hotel shuttles. There's also a Sheraton hotel connected to Terminal 1 at FRA. It's a bit of a walk (5-10 mins or so) from the customs exits, but the hotel lobby might be a place to meet that is well-signed and that is not susceptible to screw-ups (for example, if there are 2 Starbucks in the airport...).

The most distinctive landmark at FRA is the massive sign board in the T1 main hall on the departure level.

It used to click-click-click everytime there was an update and the letters changed mechanically. Almost mesmerizing to watch years ago. IIRC this board is now electronic and therefore silent.

Many years back, a few different times, I have met up with a colleague from another city, to share a car rental. In each of those cases, I met him where his flight exited baggage claim and customs, and it was no problem. However, iirc, it wasn't a particularly charming place to wait.
I recall seeing designated "meeting points" in FRA many times. This page
http://www.frankfurt-airport.com/con..._greeters.html
lists two meeting points. I definitely recall signage leading towards meetings points, too, but I do not recall whether there is pleasant seating there or not.
There are a ton of shops at FRA, but I've never spent enough time landside to really pay much attention. The website has lists and such, but is surprisingly unhelpful (at least on a brief browsing).
You can see lists of shops:
http://www.frankfurt-airport.com/con...op_enjoy0.html
And here's a map of the terminal with shop locations, but it's too low-resolution to be readable on my computer:

Hmmm... I'll bet you can get very good answers on Flyertalk. Try there if no one comes up with authoritative answers here.
