looking for best fares to India

Thinking of taking a trip to India in end of April. Wondering if someone knows which airline is offering the best fares out of either Seattle or Salt Lake City. Thanks

Did you check www.kayak.com? Are you concerned about frequent flyer miles?

I would guess Air India out of Chicago or New York would be the cheapest but the flights do make a stop in Europe so it's a long flight, plus you will have to add a connection from SEA.

Check out Lufthansa's "we fly home" program. They're advertising "India from $470" on their home page, and I know they fly from the West Coast.

Good luck!

It depends also on what is your final destination in India, so you do not have to change airlines if possible.
Fares will depend on final destination.
Air India has non stop flights from JFK to India now.
Also later in the year Kingfisher plan non-stop SFO to Bangalore so if you heading that way could be interesting.

Ileen, my daughter flies from the Pacific NW to New Dehli several times a year. She likes to go west on an Asian carrier. (The outgoing flights are easier, she says.)

She's gotten good deals, I believe, on China Air and others. If you're flying out of Seattle you might want to look into it.
