Just Flew Singapore Airbus 380....
...from London to Singapore in upstairs economy. It was wonderful from beginning to end. Loading was quick and easy. Only one carry-on was allowed so that helped things move along. The FA's were in the aisle to help with storing the carry-ons. We received printed menus with the meals and snacks listed for the trip, but the food was nothing special. The seats were comfortable and the economy area was spacious by comparison with other airlines. The exit row was at least the space of 2 rows of seats. The configuration is 2-4-2 and we had 2 seats on the window/aisle. The bathroom was roomy and had toothbrushes, combs, and razors for the taking, and actually had a vase fresh flowers.
We were served food and/or drinks (including Singapore Slings)throughout the 12-hour flight.
There were at least 30 movies to choose from--US, British, German, French, and Bollywood. I was not ready to end the flght because I had not seen all I wanted to watch. A tour of the entire plane was available after we landed in Singapore but we had a tight schedule for a flight to Borneo and couldn't linger.
I had read here or on Flyertalk that upstairs economy is superior to downstairs economy. I did not venture into downstairs economy but people from below confirmed that upstairs was much better.
Great flight!

I haven't flown it but friends have said that its great and really quiet.
I read last week that the airlines' CEO is delighted with the plane as its getting about 90% load factor and they are able to charge a premium, at the moment, for Business and First Class.

I have not flown the A-380 but agree Singapore Airlines is great.
Just did flights between Singapore and Brisbane and was excellent, fast drinks, menu cards, great food, plenty of walk-thru's with drinks, excellent extras in the washrooms, comfortable blankets, great entertainment systems and superb cabin attendents.

I just recently flew it in biz from SYD-SIN and it was SO comfortable. The seats are 30in wide and go completely flat for sleeping. Entertainment and screen size is fantastic and the plane is very quiet-just takes a bit more time to take-off!
