JFK to Lisbon on Air Portugal?

Has anyone flown Air Portugal?

Would like to get feedback on this airline.

Thanks in advance.

Since I see from your previous posting that you are planning multiple trips, I would suggest that you factor in frequent flyer partnerships and the opportunity for elite status as you evaluate your choices. I'm not sure what TAP offers.

TAP is a Star Alliance member. I think their nonstops NYC-LIS are from EWR.

Star Alliance connections from JFK to LIS are via Frankfurt (on Lufthansa or Singapore connecting with TP) or Zurich (Swiss) and Heathrow (UA/TP).

Thanks for the feedback.

I found out today that we could take a 50 minutes flight to Toronto and then fly directly into Faro, which would be more convenient than Lisbon. To travel to other parts of Europe we could take Easy Jet or Ryan Air (know nothing about the latter).

There are many options, but yes we would want to consider what FF program will serve us best.

Thanks for letting me "think out loud".
