FYI-EVERY airline that flies international/long hauls takes crew rest breaks including Asian airlines. I would like to remind all of you that most foreign carriers are subsidized by their governments as opposed to US carriers that are not. Most US airlines have gone through a bankruptcy or have gone out of business. Most of the US airlines have lost or frozen their pensions along with getting the same pay that they had 10 years ago. I would also venture to say that most of the US carriers had to give up their salaries, vacation weeks and per diem to "help" their airlines stave off their demise.
Asian airlines have more flight attendants on their flights as opposed to a US airline-an example would be Emirates having 17 flight attendants on a Boeing 777 as opposed to US airlines that ONLY have 11 flight attendants! That's a big difference when you are dealing with hundreds of people in an aluminum tube at 37,000 feet!
