KathyNZ,
Their female in-flight crew are the same like any other airline ....... members from literally all over the world - Australia, USA, SA, India, UK etc etc etc., the entire list of nations perhaps.
The problem is, some of the new recruits have insufficient experience.
However, i must say the Emirates Skywards program is very good and moving up the tiers is easy and they do offer decent upgrades etc etc.,

HariS - The 345 is not an economic aircraft to run longhauls at today's fuel prices. Even for a Gulf State airline.
They are also too new, and they probably can't find buyers for them, so they put them on routes that probably lose them the least money.

I can't understand how Emirates can be compared to Singapore A and how can it get so many raves. I just came back from a trip to India with them and thought the airline was nothing special. The economy seats are awfully narrow, service is bad and food was just ok. From Dubai to Cochin we were upgraded to business but their business isn't outstanding either. Just a regular 3* airline!
Until now the best airline I have flown with ( and I have flown many) was Jet Airways. A great airline, even in economy you get spoiled!

Jet Airways is PHENOMENAL!!! and love their new Yellow uniforms, too!!!
I have only done their shorter international flights - to Singapore. But, keen to try them to JFK next year. Ofcourse, their domestic flights here in India can't be matched.
