Hello Jack,
LQF is Le Quartier Francais in Franschhoek. I've eaten in the a la carte restaurant which was replaced by the new tasting menu-based restaurant, and the food was some of the best I've ever had -- for comparison, I've eaten at the French Laundry and Bistro Jeanty in Yountville, Matsuhisa in Los Angeles (the original Nobu) and Balthazar, Aureole, and Daniel in New York.
Now that I've joined the unspeakable venture, it looks like I will need to do an educational to the Cape -- and LQF is definitely on the menu!
Cheers,
Julian
