Nile Cruise - Who to use for booking?
We are planning our 1st trip to Egypt next month and as part of our trip, we would like to take a 3 night nile cruise. What is the best way to book a cruise - online? which company/website?

mm: you'll have better luck getting answers if you tag this for egypt. I saw it under New Topics, but A&ME is a busy forum and your message will soon get buried under others there. I check Egypt (view by country) regularly since we are traveling there next month too, but you won't turn up there without the tag. (Our trip is a Jordan/Egypt package, so I can't help with booking a cruise separately, but I'm sure others can.)

Many of the tour outfitters in Egypt can organize your entire holiday. For as few or many days total for your holiday, including Cairo with sightseeing here as you wish; the Nile Cruise, whether 3-4-5/days (sightseeing of various temples is done along the banks of the Nile during the time on cruise); option: stay in Luxor or Aswan for a 1-2/days before/after the cruise. Also, the transport between CAI and LUX or ASW, depending on from where your cruise starts/ends, whether by train or short 1/hr fight.
You can contact Lady Egypt direct (www.ladyegypt.com).
Or, in Cairo, Debbie Senters of CasualCairoDetours (www.casualcairodetours.com).
Good luck!

I use Egypt Panorama Tours. They can handle everything and they represent nice boats. They are an Egyptian owned agency, managed by an American man named Ted, so those working for Ted have a very good work ethic and actually get things done right. If they don't post something here and we'll straighten them out!
Contact them at [email protected] Or Google for their web site. You could also Google Ted Cookson. No doubt that would take you to their site as well.
Good luck.

Hi
We had an excellent experience with Lady Egypt
I submitted my itinerary which detailed the exact hotels, Nile cruise boat and transfers flights and private guides and drivers that I would need
Amanda was great to work with, and very prompt in responding to all e-mails
while in Egypt, we tweaked the itinerary-and this was no problem
the staff who met us and guided us were very good, and often I felt as if this was my egyptian family looking after me!
In Egypt we used Oberoi properties to stay in (Mena House and Dahl Hasheesh) and also did a 7 day cruise on Oberoi
Do not miss Abu Simbel
We flew the day before, saw a wonderful Son et Lumiere and were taken by our guide at 5:30 am and saw a gorgeous sun rise-when we left at 7:30 (still the only visitors) the hordes of tourists who had left in the convoy from Aswan were just arriving!

When I clicked on TravelllerB yesterday, it took me to a strange page. Nothing there pertaining to that screen name, so maybe was askew. Though I didn't pursue further or contact Fodors.
Then today, clicked on screen name and it brings me to their profile page... showing he/she only joined yesterday to impart whatever knowledge they thought they had that appears to have been removed by whomever for whatever reason.
