This informal and friendly colonial-style tavern hasn't been here since Revolutionary times (it opened in the early '90s), but the cozy dark-wood booths and wide-board floors look the part. The kitchen turns out solid American fare, such as burgers and sandwiches, fried seafood, Yankee pot roast, ribs, and steaks. Dinner-size salads are also available. Reservations aren't officially taken, but you can call ahead to make the wait a little easier.
