Christopher's by the Bay Review
The rooms in this elegant but reasonably priced art-inspired inn are named after the greats—Rembrandt, Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh—and are warmly appointed with brass beds and rich fabrics. Several of these tall-windowed rooms have partial views of the bay, and all receive plenty of light. The building is a graceful old Victorian surrounded by carefully maintained gardens and brick patios. Rooms on the upper floors are compact and share bathrooms, but they're also very low priced. Set back from the bustle, it's just a quick walk from the center of town. Helpful owners Jim Rizzo and Dave McGlothlin often throw guest barbecues on Sunday.

We loved our weekend stay at Christopher’s by The Bay! We were instantly impressed with the overall appearance of this beautiful Victorian house. The inn is very well maintained and exudes a warmth and cozy charm. Our room was nicely decorated and clean; and I was especially pleased with the comfort of our bed (I usually don’t sleep well when I travel, but slept like a baby in Ptown). The location is another perk. It is close to town and we were able to walk to many of the great shops, historical sites, and restaurants. Every morning, a continental breakfast was provided and it was perfect. There were several newspapers to read, and Dave made a great batch of banana nut muffins. Most important, the coffee was fresh and hot! Our overall experience went above and beyond our expectations and this is largely due to the hospitality of the innkeepers, Jim and Dave. They are terrific people, who go out of their way to make you feel at home and help make your Ptown visit enjoyable and memorable. We look forward to returning in the Spring and we will definitely be staying at CBTB!

I've stayed with Jim and Dave three times now, and continue to be impressed with them and their inn. Prior to staying at Christopher's By the Bay, I probably wouldn't have described myself as a "B & B person." But Jim and Dave are so gracious, so welcoming, and the inn so hospitable, they've made me change my mind. I travel to Provincetown often and look forward to Christopher's being my home away from home for years to come.

From the moment you walk in the door, Jim & Dave, the outstanding guys who run Christopher's give you a warm welcome. They are genuinely interested in making their guests' stay a great experience. The room was beautiful, immaculately clean, and comfortable. I had a separate bath to myself, which was huge. The room had it's own sitting area, and I had my own little fridge in the bathroom. The smell of fresh baked goods fills the house a couple of times a day. The back patio is a very pleasant place (even in November) to sit and read or socialize. The other guests were cool, a range of men and women from all over. If you mention Christopher's to people in town, everyone seems to know and like Jim & Dave. And it's no wonder, they're great guys! I'll definitely stay at Christopher's whenever I come to Provincetown — if there's a room available!

I have stayed at Christopher's By the Bay several times now. One word I keep coming back to, to describe Christopher's By The Bay is "comfortable". From the owner's hospitality to the quiet location (yet close to Commercial St and the beaches) to the clean, tastefully decorated rooms, this B&B is the best deal in Ptown. I will be back. Highly Recommended.
