Hidden in a shopping district downtown (signs point the way), this spotless open-air eatery with pink walls is in a league of its own—expect beer-hall tables and chairs, colorful Mexican decorations, and photos of the Acapulco of yore. The varied menu includes outstanding sopa de tortilla (tortilla soup), chicken with mole, and flan.

I was there for breakfast this morning and it is a very nice, clean and truly Mexican restaurant, with the Mexican atmosphere and very nice and helpful waiters.

Thursday is "Pozole" day in many parts of Mexico, and the dish originated in this Pacific Coast state of Guerrero. The restaurant rendition is rich, flavorful and a good value. A nice cold "Pacifico" beer is by drink of choce when here.
