Albergo Hanmer Lodge & Alpine Villa

Fodor's Review:

Postcard views of the mountains (even from the showers) and fresh, eclectic interior design make this place stand out. Stay in the alpine villa with its private Jacuzzi, or in the lodge; either way, you can fall asleep at night listening to the nearby river rushing over the rocks. The delicious three-course breakfast is notably good, with 10 meal choices, homemade mini-loaves, and fresh Italian coffee. Spa-treatment and cuisine packages are available; Swiss-Kiwi cuisine is a specialty.
