Elm Tree House Review

If you'd prefer a friendly experience away from the city center, this B&B should fit the bill. The 1920s Arts and Crafts-style house takes its name from the large tree in the front garden. Most of the rooms are upstairs, and each has a distinctive look, from the wood-paneled honeymoon suite to the ground-floor room with French doors that open onto the garden. Papanui sun streams into the enormous lounge through leaded-glass windows, and you can pop an old favorite on the Wurlitzer jukebox. Windows are triple-glazed to quiet the road noise.
