Fodor's Review:

Pronounced "egg and tie," the Aigantighe Art Gallery is one of the largest museums in the South Island. It mounts rotating exhibitions as well as permanent displays, including works by internationally acclaimed painter Colin McCahon (a Timaru native) and other Canterbury artists. Out in the gardens of the historic mansion, sculptures carved from Mt. Somers stone make themselves at home.
