what to wear in Phoenix in December

I'll be traveling from cold Washington DC to Phoenix for a few days in early December. What do people wear? Do they still wear white pants or cropped pants or sandals that time of year. Thanks so much.

No to all the above. Long pants, long sleeves most of the time, a fleece jacket at times.

You might be able to wear cropped pants and short sleeves, but please no white pants. You will need warmer clothes for evening and no sandals. Locals will be wearing sweaters, hats and mittens, etc. so they are easy to spot.

Whew! Sounds like the weather and attitude is like fall here - put the summer clothes away but no need for heavy sweaters and warm coats. thanks!

I don't know about fashion, but for comfort, summer clothes may be appropriate during the day if you are in the sun. After the sun starts to go down, it can get chilly.

(I wore shorts every day one year)

80? Don't know where you are but not in Scottsdale or East Valley. Not for the past week, it hasn't been anywhere near 80. Overcast, rain, 60's to low 70's.

It is hilarious how people here wear puffy vests and Ugg boots when it's near 80 outside, just because it's "winter", that always cracks me up.

Ugh, to me 75 is close enough to 80. THis year has been a horribly long, hot summer. So hard to get into the Christmas spirit when it's not at least in the 60's. 64 today and it looks like it's going to stay under 71 though for the rest of the month, I certainly hope so!!!
