What to wear in Ft Myers, FL in November

We're headed to Ft Myers, FL in November and are getting mixed messages about what to wear---types of clothes and colors. Is summer stuff okay, or should we be more fallish? Would appreciate some good advice.

Thanks!

Due to budget cuts the "Fashion Police Squad" has been disbanded.

Seriously, wear what's comfortable and appropriate for the weather conditions of the day - i.e. if it's hot wear shorts & short sleeve shirts; if it's cold wear long pants and and long sleeve shirts. Colors don't matter - wear colors that flatter you the most.

Bring some sweatshirts and jeans to add to the shorts and tees ... That's all you need...

Believe it or not, that so-called "best coast" that my fellow Floridians like to crow about to those of us over here on the so-called "beast coast" has pretty much the same weather in the "winter" and that means shorts and t-shirts are pretgty much always appropriate.

When it gets "cold" you'll see some jackets and hoodies; lots of people wear jeans all year down here.

I agree with the colors that flatter you. Tell your fashion police friends that what you are wearing is all the rage in the real world and as long as you are wearing flip flops along with it they'll probably believe you!

White clothing and sandals are totally appropriate! Some of us Floridians have been known to wear flip flops with a jacket.

Anything goes in Florida. When the temperatures drop below 70--which they likely won't do in November--fashionable people in my city immediately throw on boots and a sweater, because we don't have a lot of opportunities for that kind of thing and so you've gotta be quick on the draw! But at the same time, people in shorts, tees and flippies will just walk a bit faster. And at the beach, well, beachwear rules. You will never look out of place in summer clothes, especially if you are a visitor. Enjoy your trip!

Anything goes in Florida, but if you want to look like a European, wear sandals with dark socks and wear a fanny pack.
