What to wear?

I swear this is my wife's question - she wants to know what to wear in the Alsace/ Rhine area mid September. Thanks

My sympathies extend to you.

I suggest clothes. The weather will be mid 60s-high 70s depending upon your luck. If you go somewhere smart, shock horror, you wear smarter clothes. If you are being touristy by day you wear casual clothes. Sweaters, t-shirts, jeans, skirts, suits, shoes, whatever she'd wear at home in that weather.

Does she ask you what to cook every evening too?

Oh, Mk2, you're going to get flamed for that! And where is the "wise old" Margate? He needs to add his two cents in here too!

People who are attempting international travel should know how to dress themselves. I mean really, what woman doesn't know what to wear?

Okay, now you've paraphrased Margate! All true, of course, but then, why is there an endless thread on the "broomstick skirt" and other types of travel clothing to Europe?

Alas, sad but true! They don't want to be like me, and walk into the Lanesborough in jeans and flip-flops, as I did last week!
