Where do you want to get married? NYC? Outside the city? When is the wedding?
I got married 2 years ago at Bridgewaters in downtown NYC. We had 250 people. Also in NYC is the Puck Building, Tribeca Rooftop. There are many nice hotels & country clubs in NJ & Long Island. But you need to be more specific about locations....

Sorry - I thought I was in the New York section, which is why all of my recommendations were in and around NY. So back to the 1st response...where in the world are you getting married?

Well, I even have a suggestion for RI. All my friends seem to be getting married these days.
Anyway - I attended the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to last September at the Castle Hill Inn (I think that's the name of it) in Newport, RI. The Inn itself is very expensive to stay in (everyone stayed elsewhere). The ceremony and reception were both held there - outside at the edge of a cliff overlooking a spectacular view.
Don't know if it's what you're looking for, but I can't say enough great things about that place. I understand there are a number of similar places there that would make a great wedding. Hope I was helpful. Good luck and congrats!

All postings go under the general US forum. There are no actual state forums.

I don't know if you have an Embassy Suites near you, but after looking at numerous locations for my daughter's reception, this was our choice. They did an outstanding job, and many commented that it was the nicest reception they had ever attended. Everything was handled with elegance and class, and we didn't have to lift a finger. Compared to other places we looked at that didn't offer half of what Embassy Suites offered, the price was very reasonable as well.

I went to a wedding last year at the Newport Regatta Club and it was absolutely beautiful.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude but a wedding reception at an Embassy Suites? I'd go elsewhere rather than have the words Emabassy Suites on my wedding invitation.

For some reason, I had the exact same reaction - a reception at an Embassy Suites??? Just doesn't scream romance and class.

Really, darling, class doesn't scream. It whispers.

Carol,
My wife & I had aur reception at the Radisson hotel in Warwick,RI (right by the airport). The Radisson is affiliated with the Johnson & Wales culinary college so the food was top notch and the service and attention to detail was equally wonderful! OSO.com should help you in your search. Good Luck!

Be sure to wear an antenna. That way, the reception will be better.
