Trip to St. Augustine, FL

Hello All,

I just got back from 7 days in St. Augustine. Two of my friends are St. Augustine natives and I was visiting them.

Here is a quick list of what I did. I was mostly on my own as they were working during the day.

My favorites:
- St. Augustine lighthouse
- Lightner Museum
- Castillo de San Marcos
- Fort Mose
- Alligator Farm

Other (also very enjoyable):
- Mission of Nombre de Dios
- Oldest wooden school house
- San Sebastian Winery
- St. George street browsing
- St. Augustine Beach
- Dow Museum of historic homes

Food:
- Columbia Restaurant - this was my favorite of the bunch
- Cellar 6 - 2nd favorite
- Barnicle Bill's
- The Bunnery
- The Tasting Room
- Flagler College

I really enjoyed St. Augustine and will definitely go back.

Where did you stay in St. Augustine? My two 'Sistas' and I are planning a visit in April and want a nice, upscale place to stay near the 'old town', i.e. not beach area. Got any good suggestions?

No no I didn't think you were being a smartalek, Cmcfong!

The Flagler tour was wonderful. What a beautiful and historic place. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I was lucky enough to stay with friends, but it does seem like there are many great hotels and B&B's right near the historic town.

My friend's house is walking distance to the area and I found it be an excellent location.

Have a fun trip!!
