Trip to St. Augustine, FL
Hello All,
I just got back from 7 days in St. Augustine. Two of my friends are St. Augustine natives and I was visiting them. Here is a quick list of what I did. I was mostly on my own as they were working during the day. My favorites: - St. Augustine lighthouse - Lightner Museum - Castillo de San Marcos - Fort Mose - Alligator Farm Other (also very enjoyable): - Mission of Nombre de Dios - Oldest wooden school house - San Sebastian Winery - St. George street browsing - St. Augustine Beach - Dow Museum of historic homes Food: - Columbia Restaurant - this was my favorite of the bunch - Cellar 6 - 2nd favorite - Barnicle Bill's - The Bunnery - The Tasting Room - Flagler College I really enjoyed St. Augustine and will definitely go back. |
Welcome home. Where did you eat at Flagler College?
Wow that is a typo!! I did the Flagler tour. I put that in the wrong category. Good catch!
I wasn't being a smartalek. Just piqued my curiosity.
Where did you stay in St. Augustine? My two 'Sistas' and I are planning a visit in April and want a nice, upscale place to stay near the 'old town', i.e. not beach area. Got any good suggestions?
Check out the Old City House bed and breakfast and the Casa Monica.
Gina, Flagler College is lovely, isn't it? What did you think of the tour?
No no I didn't think you were being a smartalek, Cmcfong!
The Flagler tour was wonderful. What a beautiful and historic place. I'd recommend it to anyone. I was lucky enough to stay with friends, but it does seem like there are many great hotels and B&B's right near the historic town. My friend's house is walking distance to the area and I found it be an excellent location. Have a fun trip!! |
