Work is totally killing my Red Sox Buzz!
But lets get this straight - No curse, no jinx, no lunar eclipse is going to get in the way of a Red Sox sweep.
The team that will prevail is the team that has the bigger heart, the strongest desire to win, the confidence in themselves that it can be done. In other words, the team that BELIEVES. If Manny can throw a runner out at home from left field, then anything can happen. SOX take it in 4!

As embarrassing as it was to be a Cardinals fan last night... I can't let this thread go by without a few words from the competition. Game 1 was exciting, even though my team lost. I was just hoping for that same kind of excitement for at least 6 or 7 games.
Someone has kidnapped my Cardinals and replaced them with minor leaguers. This has not been a true representation of the same team that won 105 games this year.
I've got a ticket for Game 5, which I camped out overnight on the sidewalks of St. Louis to get. Please, God, let me be able to use that ticket!
I visited Fenway Park last summer when the Cardinals played there... it was a great time and I became very fond of Red Sox fans that week. I will still have that admiration regardless of the outcome of this World Series.

I keep expecting the Sox to lose a game. Every time, I think the Sox must win this one, they must win this one, and they do. Quite a roll. The Cards are cold right now, but this is the Red Sox at their best. They get out early and put pressure on teams. They didn't do that in the first few games against the Yankees. There is a part of me that would prefer to see the Sox clinch at home, but I don't want the Cards to build any kind of momentum. I don't think I could live through it. For Idnas71, I can't pull for the Cards to win one tonight, but you have my sympathy if you don't get to use the ticket. I would hate that if it were me. You would think you would be safe with Game 5 wouldn't you? I bought a Game 7 hockey ticket once and didn't get to use it. The next round, I went with Game 3.

Well, if I don't get to use my ticket for W.S. Game 5, I will just have to relish in the fact that I DID get to see the NLCS games 6 & 7. Now those were some good times!
I think most people do expect the World Series to go at least 6 games. But you just can't count on anything in baseball.
May the best team win, and enjoy the glory that is to be a World Series Champion.

So, you all know the flight the Red Sox took down to NY for the ALC series was #1918. Sound familiar?
And that Babe Ruth's former house near Boston was torn down just two weeks ago so a developer could put up condos?
Hmmm.... Could this be the year?!?!

Ruth never lived in the house that was recently demolished in Watertown; his estranged wife rented rooms from the dentist who owned the house, and she died in a fire in 1929, long after the Babe had left town.

UNBELIEVABLE!
What a parade it will be!
Congratulations, Boston fans, we finally saw it happen. And can't you just see all the "high-fives" in heaven by those we have loved who waited all their lives for this!?!
The self-proclaimed idiots finally made it reality. It is such a relief.
